Room Control Units
Designed for maximum compatibility and flexibility, Atmel AVR XMEGA™ and Atmel AVR UC3 32-bit microcontroller family support the KnX global protocol standard for home and building automation. KnX is a standardized (EN 50090, ISO/IEC 14543), OSI-based network communications protocol for intelligent buildings.
The unique capacitive touch dimming light utilizes a KnX stack ported to the AVR XMEGA and AVR UC3 microcontroller, running the dimming light profile through the actuator and sensor boards. The power-efficient Atmel XMEGA enables the KnX transceiver to provide sufficient power for the actuator board.

Lighting Control
Build a complete wireless capacitive touch remote control using the Atmel AVR wireless single-chip, the Atmel ATmega128RFA1, or an Atmel microcontroller with external low-power IEEE 802.15.4-compliant transceivers.
